Part-Time Recreation Sales Associate
Pay Range: $18.50 - $22 per hour
Campus: Summit Exchange, Park City 


Primary Responsibility: 

The Recreation Sales Associate is responsible for receiving, sorting, organizing, pricing and selling seasonal recreation equipment along with regular sales associate responsibilities. This position serves as a front-line customer service contact for the store.  

Pay range: $18.50-$22 per hour

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for sorting, pricing, transferring and organizing ALL recreation goods received from the Park City receiving area, sorting appropriately and transporting sorted goods to the warehouse and/or multiple stores. This may include non-recreation items at times. 

  • Lead the set-up, take-down, general upkeep, and organization of retail recreation space with focus on always keeping merchandising displays fresh to maximize sales. 

  • Research and keep up to date with changing prices and demands of Summer and Winter Recreation gear and pay close attention to school sports schedules. 

  • Be willing and able to work closely with managers, staff and volunteers in a team-based environment.  

  • Trained/willing to be trained in basic bike repairs, components etc. 

  • Trained/willing to be trained in the proper fitting of winter sports gear 

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required. Able/willing to drive full size truck and/or box trucks. 

  • Transport inventory between campuses. 

  • Help maintain store cleanliness and organization.  

  • Opening and closing registers. 

  • Operate point of sale system with accuracy and precision.  

  • Provide an exceptional level of customer service and positive shopping experience by engaging with customers and assisting with product questions, offering information etc. 

  • Other duties as assigned by manager/ assistant manager.

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent  

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-task environment and maintain a positive attitude in the midst of change.  

  • Excellent communication skills 

  • Good sales skills, with one year of customer service and cash handling experience preferred.  

  • Knowledge in winter/summer sports equipment.  

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred but not required.
